Pier Bike Rides: Day 3
/Never got to finish up my California trip posts đ© and I have so many pictures that I want to share. At first I thought about editing a vlog for it but I think pictures would do my trip more justice. You guys already have Day 1 & 2 in Cali down pack, itâs time for Day 3. Read about Day 1 and Day 2 here first.
Myoshi and I packed our luggage because it was our final day in California before we made our road trip back to Las Vegas to meet with my brother. We headed out pretty early on that Wednesday morning from West Covina, CA so that we could eat breakfast at Roscoeâs Chicken & Waffles. This was our first time eating here so we were excited to see what the hype is all about. I wore a cute long sleeve dress and some furry slides from Boohoo along with a pink "Bad Day Hair" hat from ByLeeApparel.
Once we got to Roscoeâs I had to call my friend Ray. He recommended we go there and of course he knew exactly what to order. And I know it sounds stupid right. Like of course youâre going to order chicken and waffles but honestly if you look at the menu you would be lost too. Soooooo many options for you to choose from! Myoshi got some Mac and cheese on the side. (My favorite)
We finished up and headed back on the road. Next stop was Hollywood Boulevard so we could see the walk of fame. I laugh just thinking about how overrated this strip really is. It reminds me of Time Square in New York in a lot of ways because of all the hype. Itâs pretty regular. But I do wish I had some time to go to the Wax Museum though. We pretty much spent our time trying to looking for specific stars. Myoshi spotted Donal Trumpâs star and literally stomped on it lol.
Then, we got stopped by these clowns lol. I only took this picture because I didnât want to be a jerk but they were so annoying. They were asking us for money to take a picture when we didnât even want a photo to begin with.đ
Next, we wanted to visit the Santa Monica Pier. I have been there before but I never got a chance to do a bike ride. At first we were disapppointed because it was a bit chilly. But we didnât let that stop us.
After a good 20 minutes trying to figure out how to unlock the city bikes we hopped on and started riding. First you have to download an application and make an account to add money based on how long you want to ride the bike. We werenât doing anything more than an hour because we were expecting to meet up with Myoshiâs little sister, Zenja. And honestly, I havenât road a bike in years so I was scared as hell. I forgot how weird it is to get your balance right when you first get on a bike and you can only imagine how hard it was to take pictures. There were a couple of paths that we rode on that gave us a really nice view of the pier.
Once we drained all our energy trying to pedal these bikes and almost falling, we got hungry. The last place we had to eat before leaving California was In-N-Out burger! We were already eating like fat asses all trip so might as well top it off with an animal style burger and fries.
Let me know what's your favorite place to eat in California.
If you didn't read about my Day 1 in Cali yet, I would go do that first lol. It definitely sets the tone for my vacation. For Day 2, we planned to go to Venice Beach. The last time I was there I really enjoyed the atmosphere, so I knew I wanted to bring Myoshi there. But our first move on our agenda was to hit Rodeo Drive.
