Blogmas Day 1: Favorite Christmas Movies

So this is my first #blogmas post! 😁😁😁 I was debating about what I wanted to talk about first. And I just thought about what makes me the happiest around this holiday season. That is… watching Christmas movies. Nothing is better than snuggling up in a blanket on your couch, drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows and watching your favorite holiday movies. I’m not going to name all of them but I will name a few that I really enjoy.

Here’s my list:

Home Alone ! (1990)

I’m talking about the first Home Alone when Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) was left behind and his entire family flew to Paris. Honestly, I can watch this movie over and over and still laugh at the same parts. If you don’t remember, Kevin was left behind because his mom counted the neighbors kid when she did a head count and assumed he was Kevin. She didn’t even realize until they arrived in Paris. Lol

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

Yes, I am obsessed! My sister used to play these movies on her computer on the loudest volume so we could all listen to it throughout the house all the way until Christmas day. Most movies suck at Part 2’s but this was just great. As a kid watching this movie you just dreamed about all the dumb stuff you would do if you were alone and how much crap you would buy with your dad’s credit card lol. And we can’t forget my favorite line: “Merry Christmas ya filthy animals… And a happy new year !”

 A Christmas Story (1983)

I know this movie is way before my time. But you have to have a weird sense of humor like me to see why it’s so funny. My favorite scenes are when Ralphie has to wear a pink bunny suit and when he gets the boot as he’s visiting Santa Claus at the mall.

Jingle All The Way (1996)

This movie really describes what happens when you wait last minute to go Christmas shopping especially for kids ! lol So, Arnold Schwarz*whatever* goes by Howard in this movie and he’s trying to buy his son a Turbo-Man toy. But this toy is sold out everywhere and he does everything possible to get it for his son.

Elf  (2003)

I actually saw this movie in theatres with my parents. lol Trust me that was a very rare occurrence for us to go to the movies. But this movie was really funny. It’s Will Ferrell so you can’t really expect anything less than that. He was basically a grown ass man who was living his entire life as if he was an elf. I’m not going to spoil the rest just go watch it.

Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer (2000)

Okay don’t judge me for this one! This movie is animated so it’s a little bit different. It’s definitely great for kids to watch and enjoy. Basically, grandma is missing and there’s a whole investigation to find out what happened to her.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)

I like this movie. I’m not in loveeeeee with it but I definitely believe it’s a classic and every kid should know who the GRINCH is. The only thing that bothers me with this movie is that people give me that corny nickname “Cindy Lou Who” from Whoville. So damn annoying lol Might not be that many Cindy’s out here but does anyone feel my pain on this one.

There are tons of Christmas movies out there. Please comment down below with your favorite Christmas movies!  And tell me how I did for my first post. 😁
