Ocean Casino Resort Getaway
/Normally, my travel agenda for the year is pretty much booked whether it’s within the U.S. or International but Covid stopped all those plans. When I came back from my Dubai trip in late March, literally when the pandemic chaos hit, I knew that I did not want to step foot inside another airport for the rest of the year. But what’s a better way to celebrate a promotion than with a local getaway!
Luckily, we still had some great options to still enjoy ourselves. Adam and I booked a stay at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, NJ for 4 days and 3 nights to relax, celebrate, and enjoy alone time. I’ve been to AC a handful of times but I always stayed at Harrah’s Resort. This time we tried something different and of course we had to be mindful about what activities would still be available since places just started opening back up in September/October.
We still had a chance to get in the pool/jacuzzi, go to the casino and experience dine-in or takeout spots within the Ocean Resort.
We went during the weekdays, which for one was a lot cheaper and guaranteed less people as well. We were both working from home at the time so we managed to get our work done during the day and as soon as we were finished we had our fun.
One night, we left the resort to enjoy a nice dinner and smoke some hookah at Bungalow Restaurant, Beach Bar and Hookah Lounge. They high nice outdoor seating, but this was October so the weather was already starting to feel a bit chilly. However, we still dined outside in a heated area. The food was amazing I mean you can’t really mess up penne vodka pasta. Adam ordered steak and potatoes which he said was really good. The hookah was on point, but those shots and drinks is what sent us over. lol 1 shot turned into 3 very quickly, but to be fair it was definitely a cheers to the milestone I accomplished. The next day we definitely laughed at how high that bill was! 😂 We had a great time though and that’s all that matters.
Another night, we also ate sushi and I ordered Shrimp Pad Thai. 😋 If you know me, you know I love me some sushi. Plus, I’m still a pescatarian so all I eat is seafood or vegetarian options. Just looking at the plate again is making me hungry because it was so good. We even ate the leftovers the next morning.
Overall, the short trip was so worth it. Sometimes you literally need to getaway to really relax your mind and get a refresh. Hopefully, we can go back at another time when everything is fully up and running after this pandemic.
