Twenty5

Sooo my birthday was last week as I mentioned in my last post and I’m feeling pretty regular. Lol Honestly, it does not feel like I just turned 25. Maybe because I didn’t celebrate it in a big way, it really was just another Tuesday. But I did manage to do something fun. In the morning, I was so happy to wake up to some presents and my 2 and 5 number balloons. And clearly I couldn’t get them in the right order in the picture lol. Each year I really don’t expect much in terms of presents but I was really happy to see what I got.

Myoshi got me the balloons and she checked off an item on my “Birthday Wish List” which was an eyeshadow palette. She got me the JACLYN HILL palette! The colors are so beautiful and I can’t wait to use it. She also got me a cute necklace and picture frame with a picture of us. It’s funny that I take so many pictures and I rarely get a chance to print them out, so the frame was very thoughtful and appreciated.

Next, Esraa bought me a POLAROID camera (another item on my list)! She actually bought me the exact one I was thinking about, the Instax Mini 8+. I love the color and the accessories she ordered to come with it. What I love about having a Polaroid camera is being able to have pictures printed right on the spot. It’s something different and it will make scrapbooking a lot easier for me. I just ordered some color film for it. So, I’m really excited to bring this on my Mexico trip.

Oh and my mom bought me a luggage set! I’m like wow I’m really Mexico ready now haha. If only you guys knew my struggle when I lost my passport last month. I was panicking so much. I really think I threw it away by accident when I was cleaning my room, but either way it was gone and I had to get it replaced. The hardest part was finding a post office that would take your passport photo instead of making you go to CVS or Walgreens. About $200 later and I had my passport expedited to arrive in 2-3 weeks and honestly I got it after 1 week. But let’s get back to my birthday present! So I now have luggage ready for me to use on my trip and my mom also bought me some cute sandals.

I’m still waiting on some presents lol but everything I received so far has really made me happy. But that was just my morning of receiving presents. Once I got home from work that day I went to Dave & Busters. I haven’t been to a Dave & Busters since my 21st birthday so it was nice to go back. It was really fun lol oh and the burger we ate was sooooooo good.

I normally wouldn’t expect much from chain restaurants when it comes to food but this was amazing. It was also great that we could order our food and instead of just sitting and waiting for it we could play games in the meantime. Best part was that it was a Tuesday and not too many people were there. Overall, with food, 2 alcoholic drinks and a game card we only paid $55 each. That was a great deal to me! We had work the next day so after playing as many games as possible we went home. My favorite game was Mario Kart. I’m happy I kept my birthday simple. I will wait until Mexico in 2 weeks to go crazy! Lol
